WORLD SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
Last years '99 winners, the Phillies, manhandled the Cardinals in both World Series Games. Game 1 the
Phillies won 11-0 on (3) Chad Wheeler homeruns and (2) by Jeremy Florea.
In Game 2 it is a little more of the same as the Phillies beat the Cards
by the score of 13-0. The Phillies highlights included (3) more
homers by Chad Wheeler, (1) by Brandon Wheeler in his only at bat, and
(1) more bomb by Jeremy Florea, plus stellar defense by Doug
Downing. The Cardinals, made up of slugger Terry Lambert, veteran
players such as Kevin Bennett and Shawn Conn, and rookie new comer Ryan
Browning, showed tons of poise throughout the tournament and definitely
belonged in the Series.
WORLD SERIES MVP
Chad Wheeler - (6) Homeruns in two
World Series Games, plus he was (2-0) in pitching the Phillies to the
title.
